The world premiere in New York City at Anthology Film Archives was a huge success. A Q & A session, with the director Mark Ezovski, and the three main characters, "Luscious" Johnny Valiant, "Empress Asia" Sky Hosoya, and "The Professor" Larry Brisco, followed the movie.

The film is a bit melancholy and quiet, considering its milieu, but this is much more a sober film about making a meaningful life outside of the spotlight once the attention has faded.
